About Thanks Fairbanks
In late 2011 our owner Geoff Welch had a “crisis of gratitude” that served as the genesis of Thanks Fairbanks project. After realizing a personal desire to more intentionally express gratitude, he designed a number of original thank you cards and committed to send at least one each business day for a year. Geoff quickly recognized an opportunity to marry his blossoming passion for gratitude with Date-Line's resources and invite others into a practice of purposeful gratitude.
The resulting project spreads a culture of gratitude in Fairbanks by sharing thousands free thank you cards with residents each year through quarterly mailings. Thanks Fairbanks has attracted a great deal of attention from audiences around the world and even landed Geoff onstage at TEDxAnchorage.

Gratitude 2020 Yearbook
We solicited and compiled messages of gratitude from dozens of our fellow humans – from Fairbanks and beyond – into a beautiful yearbook chronicling some of the many things to be thankful for...even in 2020.
This publication is available as a free PDF to anyone and everyone who wants a copy. We will also be printing souvenir books you can purchase if you want something you can hold in your hands or simply want to support our efforts to spread a culture of gratitude throughout Fairbanks.
